AFG College with the University of Aberdeen hosted their first Open Event at their new University Campus on the 19th June.
The open event was hosted by the Principal of the College, Mr Brian Buckley in the presence of her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, the Chief Executive Officer of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
Professor Jeremy Kilburn, Senior Vice Principal of the University of Aberdeen, accompanied by Professor Richard Wells, Dean of Trans National Education and Dr Russell Williams, Director of the Graduate School of Management, presented successful applicants with their official University Acceptance Letters and met with other prospective students seeking entry to the university degrees commencing in September of this year.
The event was attended by many Qatari Nationals and other residents living and working in Qatar meeting with the Principal and the senior University representatives to discuss their educational goals, with many receiving formal acceptances from the University at the event.
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is a newly established university partnership offering two UK undergraduate degrees from the University of Aberdeen, specialising in, Business Management and Accountancy & Finance. The degrees will commence in September 2017 and are offered over four years, with opportunities for qualified candidates to enter year three of their chosen degrees with evidence of previous study .
There are limited spaces for their September intake and the College Principal and the University of Aberdeen senior academics are encouraging prospective applicants to apply as soon as possible to ensure admittance to this forthcoming academic year.
Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani commented, ‘this evenings open event will be the first of many AFG College with the University of Aberdeen student admissions events, which will run throughout the Summer months, giving prospective students the opportunity to meet with College Course Advisors and university academics to discuss their future educational plans’.
